This group comprises people not just from the Blue Mountains but as far away as the Central Coast, Sydney and further afield at times. We meet the 4th Saturday of every month at 4.00pm for a 2 hour (or more) meet-up at the Glenella Guesthouse in Blackheath, downstairs at the back. Coffee and tea is provided for a gold coin donativo and if the people on the day wish to stay longer and bring food, or cook something in the downstairs kitchen, they can do so. The meet-up is an informal chat but starts with a round of self-introductions to break the ice and to hear what the others present have previously done. This way, new Camino people can pin-point who to talk with about any particular Camino they might be interested in.
Often there is a 12-14km self-guided walk beforehand and these are advertised. And sometimes there are special Camino events; dinners, movies or BYO plate events at different venues and these are also widely publicised via our Facebook page, the website and directly through our newsletter mailing list.
If you’ve walked the Camino, plan to walk it or are interested in coming along to one of our events please visit bluemountainscamino.com, use the contact form below, or simply turn up to one of the meet-ups on Saturday. You’ll find a warm welcome and we look forward to meeting you then.
