April 2020: Due to the Covid-19 health crisis travel on the Camino is not possible. We need to keep safe, and we need to keep those who live and work on the Camino safe. The Camino will not disappear, it is just temporarily inaccessible. Keep your Camino dreams on hold until such times as it is safe to travel. Read more
We welcome pilgrims and anyone interested in the Camino not just from the Blue Mountains but from all around NSW and beyond. Camino Meetups are held the 4th Saturday of most months at 2.00-4.00pm at Glenella Guesthouse, 56 Govetts Leap Rd, Blackheath. Afternoon tea provided at a cost of $5.00. The Camino Meetup is an informal gathering which starts with a round of self-introductions where we learn what pilgrimages have been done or planned from all in attendance. Stories, experiences and tips are shared freely.
On the morning of the scheduled Camino Meetups, often there is a 8-14km self-guided walk staring off at 9.00am from Glenella Guesthouse. There are special Camino events such as dinners with guest speakers, movies or BYO plate of food to share events at different venues.
