The Barwon Camino Group gathers once a month for a walk somewhere in the Geelong, Bellarine Peninsula, Surf Coast region. We also have a bi-monthly dinner with a guest speaker at a hotel in Geelong. These events are published on our Facebook page (see below) and bring us together as a ‘Camino Family’ to share the Camino spirit.
The Group was formed after Beverley and Peter met at the AFotC Conference in 2019. Our aim is to provide a place where fellow pilgrims from the Geelong, Bellarine and Surf Coast region can gather and share stories and experiences. Most of our walks have been in the 10-14km range. We usually stop somewhere for a picnic lunch or share a meal at a café. New pilgrims who are just starting their Camino journey are most welcome to come along and draw on the knowledge and experience of group members.
